Students can unlock financial support for their educational journey through our scholarship program. This scholarship is designed for students who plan to attend a four-year college or university. Successful applicants may receive up to $1,000 for a four-year program to support their studies at a North Carolina postsecondary institution or training program.
During the application process, you will be asked to provide documentation of acceptance into a North Carolina postsecondary institution or training program, along with a detailed list of your extracurricular activities, clubs, and awards. A recommendation from a teacher is also required. In addition, each applicant must submit an essay and a personal statement as separate documents. The essay, with a maximum of 500 words, must be typed and uploaded as a PDF file; handwritten essays will not be considered. This essay should describe one or more experiences from your high school years that demonstrate at least one part of Rotary’s Four Way Test, which asks: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned? The personal statement, with a maximum of 300 words, must also be uploaded as a PDF file and should describe your career goals and the biggest influence in shaping that decision.
Applications are due by Sunday, March 29th, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Rotarian family members are not eligible for this scholarship. This is a meaningful opportunity to receive financial support for your education while reflecting on your values, your goals, and the impact you hope to make in the world.
