Our Rotary meeting will become a hands-on service project as we take time to thank the many people who helped make Cars & Carnivores a success. Members will write personal thank-you letters to our sponsors, car owners, vendors, cooks, and others who generously gave their time, resources, and support to this year’s event. C&C would not be possible without this incredible community of supporters, and this is our opportunity to let them know how much their partnership means to our club and, most importantly, to the cause we serve. Join us Monday night as we put pen to paper and show our appreciation!

Giving every member an opportunity to get involved in shaping the work of the Rotary Club of Wake Forest. Rather than a traditional speaker program, the evening will focus on our committees and the projects, programs, and priorities ahead. Members will have a chance to connect with committee leaders, hear what’s being planned, share ideas, and find meaningful ways to participate in areas such as Service, Membership, Youth, International, and club activities. Club Assembly is where ideas turn into action, so come ready to participate, collaborate, and help us continue Creating Lasting Impact in Wake Forest and beyond.

President Shipman Northcutt has called a meeting of the Rotary Club of Wake Forest Board of Directors for Monday, October 26, at 5:30 PM at The Forks Cafeteria, prior to our regular club meeting and District Governor Pat Gallagher's official visit. One of the key discussion items will be proposed changes to the 2026–2027 Rotary Scholarship Application, including a recommendation from the Scholarship Committee to replace the traditional written essay with a 3-to-5-minute video submission in which applicants share an experience demonstrating Rotary's Four-Way Test. The Board will consider the proposal, including technical requirements and fairness in the selection process, ahead of the scholarship application opening on November 20. Additional scholarship fundraising ideas and other club business will also be discussed. All club members are encouraged to attend, stay informed about club operations, and participate in the discussions that help guide our club's continued success and community impact.

Join us on Monday, October 26, as the Rotary Club of Wake Forest welcomes Rotary District 7710 Governor Pat Gallagher for his official club visit! Governor Gallagher will be our featured speaker, sharing updates on district initiatives, Rotary's priorities, and opportunities for our club to continue Creating Lasting Impact in our community and beyond. We are also honored to welcome Rotarian Swapan Basu from India as a special guest for the evening. Swapan is a Past President, Club Rotary Foundation Chair, and District Assistant Governor for The Rotary Foundation (2026–27). He represents Rotary New Town, an international Rotary partner with whom our club collaborated on Global Grant GG2460154 several years ago. His visit is a wonderful reminder of the friendships and global connections that make Rotary so special. We encourage all members to attend this important meeting at The Forks Cafeteria as we celebrate Rotary leadership, international fellowship, and our shared commitment to Service Above Self!
