Volunteer Job Opportunities:
- Event Setup and Take Down: The Event Setup Crew plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless preparation of our event. Their responsibilities include unloading and organizing equipment and supplies, setting up booths, tents, and signage following the event layout, arranging seating areas and decorations to enhance the overall atmosphere, and assisting vendors with booth setup. The team also prioritizes safety by ensuring all necessary measures are in place to guarantee attendees a secure and enjoyable experience.
- Steak Cook-Off Support Team: The Steak Cook-Off Support Team plays a crucial role in the success of the cook-off event by assisting the Steak Cook-off Association Representative. Their duties involve providing essential support to ensure the seamless execution of the competition. This includes coordinating contestant arrivals, assisting with set-up, ensuring compliance with competition guidelines, and managing logistical needs during the event. The team’s dedication contributes to the overall efficiency and enjoyment of the Steak Cook-off, enhancing the experience for both participants and spectators alike.
- Car Show Support Team: The Car Show Support Team plays a vital role in orchestrating the smooth flow of the event by directing classic cars to designated parking spots and efficiently managing car traffic. Their duties include coordinating the orderly arrival of vehicles, ensuring adherence to the event layout, and providing clear guidance to participants. This team is essential for maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing showcase of classic cars, contributing significantly to the car show attendees’ overall success and positive experience.
- Raffle Sales Team: The Raffle Sales Team plays a vital role in making the Cars & Carnivores Street Festival a success! Volunteers in this role will assist with selling tickets for our exciting raffle baskets, the 50/50 raffle to car show and steak cookoff participants, and tickets for the BBQ pit giveaway. Team members will be responsible for promoting these opportunities to festival attendees, handling both cash and credit card transactions using a provided credit card machine. This is a fantastic opportunity to interact with guests, support the fundraising mission, and help generate excitement for our community cause.
- Information Booth: The Information Booth Team serves as the knowledge hub for event attendees. Their duties include promptly responding to attendee inquiries, offering comprehensive event details, and distributing essential materials such as programs, maps, and promotional items. Additionally, the team is crucial in assisting with lost and found items, ensuring a helpful and supportive environment. Their commitment extends to maintaining an organized information booth area, facilitating a smooth flow of information, and enhancing the overall attendee experience.
- Clean-Up Crew: The Clean-Up Crew is responsible for managing waste and maintaining cleanliness throughout the Cars & Carnivores Street Festival. Team members will set up trash cans with bags at designated locations before the event begins and monitor them during the festival, ensuring bins are emptied promptly when full. At the end of the festival, the crew will collect and remove trash bags and trash cans, leaving the venue clean and orderly. This role is crucial for creating a positive experience for attendees and upholding the festival’s commitment to cleanliness and sustainability.

Volunteer Training:
We are excited to announce that a comprehensive training session for all volunteers will be conducted the night before the event, scheduled from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This training will equip volunteers with the necessary information and skills to ensure a successful and smooth event. During the session, volunteers will receive their event T-shirts, and there will be ample opportunity to address any questions or concerns. We highly encourage all volunteers to attend this training to enhance their understanding of their roles and responsibilities, fostering a collaborative and well-prepared team for the upcoming festivities.
