What happened this week?

The Rotary Club of Wake Forest met Monday, 10.19.2020, both in-person and on Zoom at The Forks Cafeteria in downtown Wake Forest.  President Karlene Turrentine opened the meeting with a prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.  

Announcements

Guests: Member Leah Flach introduced her guests, Melanie Cook and Mary Margaret Norman.  Member Brad Walker introduced Andi Curtis, Wake Medical Hospital Government Affairs representative, and Charles Gilliam, Wake County Register of Deeds, and also a member of the Rotary Club of Raleigh. 

Good News: Lots of good news this night coming from Kermit, Louis, Rachel, Ken, Bill, and Tommy.  Their good news is good for all of us!

That Saturday is Rotary International Polio Plus Day.  Bob encouraged all members to pledge a donation to the annual drive or donate when making their order for the Oyster Roast which offers a donation option. 

Fundraising

Queen of Hearts

Member Kermit Copley won the raffle again, but while he drew a heart from the shrinking deck, his “3” didn’t come close to the mighty Queen.
